The Greatest Mother in the World, the 1918 U.S. World War I (WWI) Home Front charity poster ("Red Cross Christmas roll call Dec. 16-23rd") encouraging people to donate to the Red Cross so that they can provide assistance to those affected by the war, and featuring Alonzo Earl Foringer art of a larger-than-life Red Cross nurse cradling a wounded soldier on a stretcher.

Artist: Alonzo Earl Foringer

Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has a 5" tear near the center of the bottom border with a 3" tear to its right. It has some small tears and tiny paper loss in the restoration of the bottom border and few small tears in the other borders. It as tiny paper loss in the upper left corner (in the blank background area). The poster is somewhat fragile, but will look great after a simple linenbacking.
