An Original 1936 (from the first release of this movie in Belgium) Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 24 1/2" x 33 1/2" [62 x 85 cm]) (Learn More) Annie Oakley, the 1935 George Stevens biographical historical cowboy western romantic comedy ("Queen of the Wild West Show"; "Queen of the Roaring '80s ... Her name was the toast of kings!"; "Meet Col. Cody, Sitting Bull, and all the two-gun heroes of the plains, in the big show that astonished two continents... a livid background for the flaming love of Annie Oakley!"; about the famous female sharpshooter) starring Barbara Stanwyck (in the title role as Annie Oakley), Preston Foster, Melvyn Douglas, Moroni Olsen (as Colonel Buffalo Bill Cody), Pert Kelton, Andy Clyde, Percy Kilbride, Chief Thunderbird (as Sitting Bull, billed as "Chief Thunder Bird"), Willie Best, and Philip Armenta (Mexican actor who appeared in eight movies as a Native American Indian; in this movie as "Rain-in-the-Face") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "pre-War" Belgian poster (it has overprinting at the top indicating that it was used in Belgium in 1939, but it was almost surely printed in 1936, and then used in 1939, because had it been first printed in 1939, it almost surely would have been in the much smaller size that Belgian posters were printed in that year, due to paper shortages). Prior to World War II, Belgian posters were much larger than the ones from after the war, and they are extremely rare (because during WWII, there was a massive paper shortage in Belgium, and they took virtually every poster and map, and printed new posters on the backs of them!). Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. The poster folded like a U.S. one-sheet and it had minor wear on the folds. It had paper loss in the center of the top play dates area (see our image). There were a few faint brown stains around the edges of the poster. Otherwise, the poster is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
