Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had two areas of paper loss in the top quarter of the vertical fold and paper loss at the bottom crossfold, but fortunately almost completely in the background area. It had many tears and paper loss around the edges. Unfortunately, someone mended the poster by putting wide tape on the back of many of the areas described above, and the tape not only bled through to the front, but also created brown stains on the front of the poster on the areas where the tape was. There are also small scattered brown stains throughout the bottom white background areas. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. Someone mounted the poster to linen exactly as it was, with no restoration (to be fair to that person, the poster likely acquired the brown dot stains after it was backed, since they are also in parts of the excess linen). In spite of its many defects, the poster can be displayed and enjoyed as it is, and certainly, one could have it re-backed, but please bear all this in mind before bidding on this poster.
