Notre Histoire (literally translates to "Our History"), the circa 1931 series of French educational posters, published by Delagrave and featuring Jacques Onfroy de Breville (Job) artwork of important events in French history. Such events include: World War I (WWI), Napoleon Bonaparte in exile on Saint Helena, Joan of Arc on her way to Chinon, and many more
Artist: Jacques Onfroy de Breville
Important Added Info: Note that this poster has a tagline of Jeanne D'Arc part pour Chinon (literally translates to "Joan of Arc leaves for Chinon"). The French town of Chinon played a significant role in the struggle between the French and the English during the Hundred Years' War. In 1429, Joan of Arc went to Chinon to meet and to acknowledge the future Charles VII of France as the rightful heir to the throne. After interrogation to prove she had been sent on a mission from God and with the men and arms then accorded to her, she would go on to break the siege of Orleans in June and open the way for Charles to be crowned in July of 1429.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had a few faint brown stains in parts of the borders, and some other minor border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
