An Autographed 7 3/4" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] REPRODUCTION Still (Learn More) Charlton Heston (born John Charles Carter) was a major leading actor from the 1950s to the 2000s. He is best remembered for his starring roles in the two great 1950 religious epics Ben-Hur (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film) and The Ten Commandments, as well as scores of other movies including: Touch of Evil, Planet of the Apes, Hamlet, The Big Country, Tombstone, Three Musketeers, Soylent Green, Julius Caesar, and El Cid. Late in his life, he became head of the NRA, promoting gun rights. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 84. He had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, and died from pneumonia. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Charlton Heston! Also note that this REPRO measures 7 3/4" x 10" [20 x 25 cm]. Our consignor is a very longtime collector who purchased this item from a very reputable autograph dealer. She does not have a "certificate of authenticity", but she (and we) feel it is certain that the autograph is authentic. Condition: good to very good. The REPRODUCTION was attached to a mat and it slightly unevenly darkened the back of the REPRODUCTION. Also, it had glue or tape on the back of the right corner that was removed, causing a 2" tear in that area (going through the right end of the autograph, and it was repaired with clear tape from the back (see our image).
