Date Sold 7/2/2017 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 11 unfolded 10x14 Chinese commercial posters of Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong was a Chinese Communist revolutionary and politician from the 1940s to the 1970s. He was the head of the revolution that led to the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, leading the country until his death in 1976. His book, "Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-tung" (known in the West as "The Little Red Book") was first published in 1964, and some sources say it sold 6.5 billion copies (but no one can say for sure, although virtually every Chinese citizen had to have a copy during the 1960s!). Note that we think the items in this lot are from the 1970s, but that is purely a guess. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them.
