An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 44 1/4" x 62 1/4") (Learn More) Le Mepris (released in English-speaking countries as "Contempt"), the 1963 (released in the U.S. in 1964) Jean-Luc Godard French/Italian movie-making romantic love triangle melodrama ("Bardot is the body beautiful... she knows it... and she shows it!"; "Based on the novel by Alberto Moravia"; a very complex story about a screenwriter who is assigned by his producer to make a screenplay of "The Odyssey" more commercial, and he has a beautiful young wife who believes he wants her to sleep with the producer to help his career) starring Brigitte Bardot, Jack Palance, Michel Piccoli, Fritz Lang, and Giorgia Moll. Note that the director of the movie-within-the-movie is identified as Fritz Lang, and the legendary director plays himself! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Georges Allard Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare country of origin poster for this partially French movie. Condition: very good to fine. The poster was folded in half an extra time. While it was folded, it was lightly creased diagonally, which resulted in faint diagonal creases in the middle left and middle right of the poster. There is a piece of paper tape on the back of the bottom left of the poster (it was not put there for a restoration purpose, and it does not affect the front).
