She was one of MGM's most promising young female stars in 1943, and she married actor Richard Quine, but in 1945, she was wounded in a hunting accident, and she became paralyzed from the waist down. She appeared in the 1948 movie The Sign of the Ram as a wheelchair-bound matriarch, but without much success (1948 audiences were not very understanding about disabilities), and tragically, she divorced and starved herself to death, dying in 1952 at the age of 31. Some of her other movies include: Random Harvest (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Andy Hardy's Double Life, and The Big Shot. She passed away in 1952 from pneumonia, chronic kidney problems and starvation at the young age of 31. Important Added Info: Note that one still measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" (not trimmed) and is printed on a deluxe heavyweight paper stock. Condition: very good. The deluxe still pictured at top left has tiny creases and tiny surface paper loss in the bottom right corner. Otherwise, the stills are in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
