An Original 1943 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Movie Poster (measures 19 1/4" x 27 1/2" [49 x 70 cm]) (Learn More)

A Harmincadik (literally translates to "The Thirtieth"), the 1941 Imre Apathi & Laszlo Cserepy Hungarian coal mining teacher school melodrama (about a group of coal miners in Hungary during World War II, and their efforts to get a school for their children) starring Jozsef Bihari, Jozsef Juhasz, Janos Maklary, Zoltan Maklary, Erno Mihalyi, Antal Pager, Iren Pelsoczy, and Ferenc Pethes. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Artist: Anselmo Ballester
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare Italian poster from during World War II! Virtually no Italian posters survive from during or right after World War II (mostly only some heavy stock lobby cards, and even those are rare). Apparently there were many paper shortages in Italy during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all posters from before World War II, and also from during the war, and the first few years afterwards! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. There is darkening and paper loss in the middle left of the poster, very slightly extending into the background. There is 1" of vertical separation at the middle crossfold and a 3" vertical tear 1 1/2" to the left of the middle crossfold, and a 1" vertical tear 1 1/2" to the right of the middle crossfold, with a 2" vertical tear in the middle of the right half of the horizontal foldline. There are paper loss in the top right blank corner and a green sticker in the bottom right blank corner. It is fortunate that these defects are easily addressed through standard linenbacking. After restoration by a talented professional, the poster will look incredible, and there will be very little paint restoration within the image area.
