A Deluxe 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm] RE-STRIKE Still (Learn More) Marlene Dietrich was a very popular German actress and singer from the 1920s through the 1950s! She started in German movies in the 1920s, and then got her big break in Josef von Sternberg's "The Blue Angel", which was made in both a German and an English version. That led to a series of wonderful movies with von Sternberg. Some of her other movies include: Destry Rides Again, Shanghai Express, The Scarlet Empress, A Foreign Affair, Morocco (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Blonde Venus, Touch of Evil, Witness for the Prosecution, and Judgment at Nuremberg. She passed away in 1992 at the age of 90. Important Added Info: Note that our consignor obtained this still (which is printed on a deluxe paper stock) many years ago, but it is extremely likely that it is not an original studio-issued still, and it is almost certainly a "re-strike" still created by a dealer in the 1960s or 1970s (someone who had access to the original negative). It is high quality, but please do not bid on this still unless you can accept that it is almost certainly a re-strike still, and is almost certainly NOT an original. Condition: very good. There are a few creases in the left of the bottom border, with some faint smudges in the outer edges of the black background, but they are mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light.
