An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) The Unearthly, the 1957 Boris Petroff (billed as "Brooke L. Peters") horror thriller ("Lured! - to the House of Monsters..."; "No escape from The Unearthly"; "Guaranteed to Frighten!"; "Original Story By Jane Mann"; about a mad doctor who runs an insane asylum, and he experiments on his patients by injecting glands into their brains that are intended to make them immortal, but it turns them into monsters instead) starring John Carradine, Allison Hayes, Myron Healy, Sally Todd, Marilyn Buferd, Arthur Batanides, and Tor Johnson (as the monster in the basement) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Due to laziness on the part of the person who was in charge of printing, the writing on the bottom of the large top section does not match up to the writing on the top of the small section (this is in the word "FROM" above the title and the word "FRIGHTEN" at right). There is no way to make both of those words line up "correctly", due to the error that was made. The person who restored this poster chose to have both words be "slightly off", so that it would not be as noticeable when viewed from any normal viewing distance (and it is not). This is something that is quite common on three-sheets and six-sheets from all years (when they were multiple piece posters), and it is on all examples of this poster, so one just has to accept it! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on many parts of some foldlines, and it had pinholes and smudges around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
