Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had seven evenly spaced horizontal tears that ran from the left border (or near the left border) across two-thirds of the poster. There were pinholes and some tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
