An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Trailin' West, the 1936 Noel M. Smith Civil War era singing cowboy western melodrama (about a U.S. government agent who is sent by President Lincoln to stop outlaws who have taken over a town and are hurting the war effort, but he is ambushed and loses his papers, and he is captured and tried as a spy, but there is a second secret agent who is working undercover, but must save him) starring Dick Foran ("The Singing Cowboy"), Paula Stone, William 'Wild Bill' Elliott (billed as "Gordon Elliot"), Addison Richards, Robert Barrat (as Abraham Lincoln), and Joseph Crehan. Note that it may seem really odd that they were able to work songs into this movie, but Dick Foran had become famous as "The Singing Cowboy", and so they had scenes where he sang a song at the White House for President Lincoln, and also for his girlfriend! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: fair to good. There is much separation and several areas of paper loss along the horizontal fold which makes the poster somewhat fragile. It has darkened slightly and there is some writing at lower left.
