Smirnov (also known as "Uncle Vanya"), the 1920s Russian stage poster promoting a comedic performance by Smirnov, who was able to realistically imitate babies and various animals. Important Added Info: Note that this poster is one of a collection of 36 similar posters that we were consigned (and are currently auctioning in 36 separate auctions). They include Russian, Uzbek, Ukranian, and Latvian posters, and some of them are movie posters, and others are circus posters, with a few other kinds of posters. All of these posters are incredibly rare, and on the vast majority of them, we have never auctioned them before, and it may be many years before we auction any of them again. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has staining in the top right corner and small paper loss in the left of the top blank border.
