An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded English Three-Sheet (called a 6sh in England) Movie Poster (3sh; measures 40" x 85 1/2" [102 x 217 cm]) (Learn More) The Indian Raid, the 1913 silent Native American Indian cowboy western melodrama. Note that while we can find a plot outline for this 3-reel film in English publications and there are English newspaper advertisements from 1913, we can not find any information regarding the cast or crew, or if it played in the United States. We had believed that this was a re-titling of the 1911 James Young Deer film Incendiary Indians, but further research by a knowledgeable collector indicates that is not the case. Another site suggests that this may be a re-titling of the "The Indian Raiders" with Wallace Reid, but the plot outlines do not match. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare)! Also note that this English three-sheet was printed in 3 sections designed to overlap, and when combined, the poster measures 40" x 85 1/2" [102 x 217 cm]. Condition: fair to good. There is light water staining scattered in the poster. It has lightly discolored areas of the poster, but not badly. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded. There are some creases and several tears along the folds that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on some folds, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds. There are many tiny staple holes around the edges. While the poster has many defects, they are the kind that work out well in a poster that is 108 years old! This is because it is the sort of poster that responds really well to professional restoration. It is likely that much or all of the light water staining can be removed through chemical means, and after restoration to the above other pretty minor defects, the poster will look fantastic!
