An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) One Touch of Nature, the 1917 Edward H. Griffith silent baseball sports melodrama starring John Drew Bennett, Viola Cain, Edward O'Connor, John Henry, and John McGraw (billed as "Muggsy McGraw"). Note that John McGraw was one of the most legendary baseball managers ever (he managed for 33 years, first with the Baltimore Orioles, but mostly with the New York Giants). He finished with 2,763 wins, second only to Connie Mack, who managed for far longer. Few people know that McGraw was a tremendous baseball player prior to becoming a manager! His .466 career on-base percentage remains third all-time behind only baseball legends Ted Williams (.482) and Babe Ruth (.474). He appeared in a dozen movies, usually playing himself! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is the only lobby card we have ever seen that shows baseball legend John McGraw. It refers to him by his early nickname "Muggsy" (later in his career, he became known as "Little Napoleon") Condition: very good. The card has a pinhole in each corner and some small tears in the left border, with one small tear in the top border, and one in the bottom border. The card was displayed in a frame and has slightly darkened in the center of each blank border. Otherwise, the card is in surprisingly nice condition, especially considering it is nearly 100 years old! Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
