An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Shopworn Angel, the 1928 Richard Wallace World War I (WWI) New York City romantic love triangle melodrama ("From the story by Dana Burnet"; based on the play "Private Pettigrew's Girl"; about a lonely World War I soldier on leave in New York City and a beautiful showgirl agrees to pretend to be his date to impress his friends, but then a real romance begins) starring Nancy Carroll, Gary Cooper (in an important early role!), Paul Lukas, Roscoe Karns, Memmett King, and Mildred Washington. Even though Gary Cooper was clearly a star at this time, he was still billed after Nancy Carroll, because he was not yet a superstar, and she was! Note that this play was first made into a movie in 1919 almost under its original title, as "Pettigrew's Girl". It was remade in 1938 with James Stewart and Margaret Sullavan in "Shopworn Angel".

Condition: good. There are water stains in the top corners, with creases, tack holes, smudges, and dot stains around the edges, and a small tear near the top center, but none of these affect the main image area. See our super-sized images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this card. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
