An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Jungle Gents, the 1954 Edward Bernds and Austen Jewell Africa diamond comedy ("You'll go WILD with LAFFS!"; "WOW! It's move fun than a barrel of people!"; "They're jungle-happy now... in their funniest yet!") starring the Bowery Boys (Leo Gorcey, Huntz Hall, David Gorcey and Benny Bartlet), Laurette Luez, and Bernard Gorcey (as Louie Dambrowski). Note that Bernard Gorcey was star Leo Gorcey's father, and he played Louie, the owner of the Sweet Shop, where the boys frequently hung out, and Louie was often involved in slapstick gags, and many times Leo Gorcey would be tormenting or slapping his own father! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had minor fold and border wear. It had a scuff mark in the background between the right of the words of the title. It had some darkening and tiny tears in the left of the top blank border. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
