Scott Fitzgerald") starring Warner Baxter (in the title role as Jay Gatsby), Lois Wilson (as Daisy Buchanan), Neil Hamilton (as Nick Carraway), Georgia Hale, William Powell (as George Wilson), and Carmelita Geraghty (as Jordan Baker). Note that there were three more movies based on this classic novel (which was published just one year before this 1926 move was released), one with Alan Ladd in 1949, one with Robert Redford in 1974, and one with Leonardo DiCaprio in 2013, but this first silent version is completely forgotten today, except by major film buffs! Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist (but a trailer does survive). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
