El Dorado, the 1967 Howard Hawks Texas cowboy western ("It's the big one with the big two!"; "They were friends. They were enemies. A passerby could not tell which was who."; "This was the seething sultry Old Southwest. Where loyalties and labels shifted with the sands, the winking of an eye, the wavering of a gun!"; "In a story of the elements. Wind, Earth, Sky, Loyalty, Redemption, Man, Woman, Gunfire!"; "They came for the gold. They stayed for the adventure."; "Based on the novel 'The Stars in Their Courses' by Harry Brown"; "Screenplay by Leigh Brackett"; a virtual re-make of Hawks' own "Rio Bravo") starring John Wayne ("is the Gunfighter"), Robert Mitchum ("is the Sheriff"), James Caan (in his fourth credited movie role!), Charlene Holt, Paul Fix, Arthur Hunnicutt, Michele Carey, Edward Asner, and Johnny Crawford. Note that this movie was virtually a remake of John Wayne's great success, "Rio Bravo"!

Important Added Info: Note that most of the lots in this auction consist of solely color transparencies, negatives, or slides. However, in the case of THIS lot, it contains both color transparencies and negatives, and there are different sizes and types of each (see above and below). Note that the 8 negatives (in two sizes) in this auction are CAMERA ORIGINALS, the actual film was in the camera when the photographer shot each image. We have taken a scan of the 8 negatives as they appear, and also a special scan of the negatives that show the "positive image" of each. We will provide the winning bidder of this auction with those positive image scans. They often (but not always) have retouching on the emulsion side, and negative numbers written in India ink on the front. Also note that the color 23 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" transparencies are studio-issued transparencies that are produced by the studio but are not the camera original. Note that the 8 4" x 5" transparencies are studio-issued transparencies that are produced by the studio but are not the camera original. All of the transparencies are plastic sleeves (but we removed each and scanned them, so that bidders could see just how high quality they are). They will be sent to the winner of the auction in their plastic sleeves, together with all of the negatives in this auction.

Note that every one of these 365 auctions have had their transparencies and/or negatives scanned expertly. This auction contains that scan with the "eMoviePoster.com" watermark over it. ONLY the winner of this auction will, on request, be sent UNWATERMARKED scan(s) of the items in this auction, which will both save them the time and expense of scanning them themselves, and also allow them to make high quality positive prints of the items they purchased.

Condition: very good to fine. All the items are in nice condition!
