Please do not bid on this poster thinking it is 27" x 41". Also note that this is a "foil" poster meaning that it is printed on a shiny aluminum foil-like surface. This foil can be damaged quite easily and because of that, foil posters are difficult to find in great condition. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had was hand folded as opposed to machine folded, and the folds are not straight. It had many creases on the foldlines and many scuffs scattered throughout (see above). It had many creases and scuffs around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did little restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting (and a talented restorer could touch them up without re-backing the poster).
