Sensational!! 25 years in the making!"; "Greater than any drama ever filmed!"; "Every flaming scene is real.. A full-length picture 25 years in the making!") featuring Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, and narrated by Lowell Thomas. Note that, using newsreel footage, this documentary reviews world events from the end of World War I (WWI) to the American entry into World War II and, according to the narration, shows "how, through their disunity, democracies were led, some to destruction and others to the verge of destruction." The film ends with a speech by Franklin D. Roosevelt, followed by a color sequence depicting the flags of the democratic nations. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1942 movie paper from this World War II documentary are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a three-sheet, window card, and Australian daybill until we received this lobby card! It seems extremely odd that we would never have received any lobby cards before, but on the other hand, who knows how many theaters showed this documentary, and even the ones that did probably had little incentive to order lobby cards for it, because it surely was not the main feature on their bill.
