Important Added Info: Note that this really cool special promotional item (which we have never auctioned before) was sent by RKO pictures to theater owners and media people in October 1944, to try to get them to book this movie, which was about to open. It consists of a 13 1/2" x 18 1/2" print (on a heavy paper stock) of Cary Grant as he appears in the movie, with a die-cut paper overlay on top of it, which "frames" the picture, and has his name and the movie title in the bottom border. It has a cover sheet glued to that picture from the back, which has a cover letter from RKO Pictures telling "Friend Exhibitors" about how great this movie is, and on the other side of the letter is a full-color ad for the movie. This particular example of this promo item comes with its original printed mailing envelope, and it has its address label attached, which shows that it was sent to "Reed Porter" of The Hollywood Reporter, so obviously, it was sent to him with the hopes that he would write something about the movie in The Hollywood Reporter. Condition: very good. The promo item itself is in nice condition. The mailing envelope has much darkening and tears around the edges, but it did what it was intended to do, which was to protect what it contained (see our images). Learn More about condition grades
