Bruce Humberstone mistaken identity romantic musical crime fantasy comedy ("It's a Miracle of a Musical-starring the 'Wonder Man' of Merriment!"; "The Glitter and Glow Show of the Year!"; about a timid librarian who has an outgoing entertainer twin brother, and the brother is killed, and his ghost returns to the timid brother and takes over his body so that he can solve his own murder!) starring Danny Kaye (in a dual role as the twin brothers!), Virginia Mayo, Vera-Ellen (in her first movie, and she is third-billed!), Donald Woods, S.Z. Sakall, Allen Jenkins, Edward Brophy, Otto Kruger, Steve Cochran, Virginia Gilmore, and the Goldwyn Girls NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds, with pinholes around the edges. The poster likely was displayed behind chicken wire, because there is that sort of pattern in the bottom of the poster and in the left and right of the lower part of the image. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
