An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian Photobusta Movie Poster (pbusta; measures 19" x 26 3/4" [48 x 68 cm]) (Learn More) I Re Del Ring (literally translates to "King of the Ring"), the 1958 Italian sports boxing documentary featuring boxing greats such as Sullivan, Dempsey, Louis, Marciano, and many more. It is possible that it is not an Italian documentary, but it could be a re-titling of one of the other boxing documentaries from another country that were made (but we compared this to those, and it does not seem to fit any of them). We have seen this movie incorrectly identified as being the 1951 Stanley Kubrick movie, "Day of the Fight", but that is just wishful thinking, because that entire movie is on YouTube, and the scenes for this movie are not in that movie! If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was folded down the middle and had creases and scuffs on that fold. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
