An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Photobusta Movie Poster (pbusta; measures 19 1/4" x 27" [49 x 69 cm]) (Learn More) Miracolo a Milano (released in the U.S. as "Miracle in Milan"), the 1951 Vittorio De Sica Italian Italy orphan fantasy comedy melodrama (based on the novel 'Toto Il Buono' by Cesare Zavattini; about a baby who is literally found in a cabbage patch and ends up in an orphanage until he is 18, and then he is homeless, and he lives in a camp with other homeless people, and he has eternal optimism and helps them improve their lives against much adversity, and then the movie takes a very surreal turn into pure fantasy!) starring Emma Gramatica, Francesco Golisano, Paolo Stoppa, Riccardo Bertazzolo, Brunella Bovo, A. Bragaglia, Anna Carena, Virgilio Riento, and G. Barnabo. Note that Cesare Zavattini wrote the screenplay from his own novel, and unlike his other earlier collaborations with director De Sica, this movie is not "neorealism", but rather an upbeat fantasy, and at the time, they were criticized for abandoning neorealism, but this movie has many admirers! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Italian movie! Also note that it is difficult to accurately date Italian posters, and some unmarked re-release posters can be extremely difficult to distinguish from first releases, so please bear that in mind before you place a bid. We used our best information to date this poster, but we can't always guarantee that the Italian posters we sell are not from an unmarked re-release, but this will only prove to be true in a very tiny number of cases. Finally, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: fair. There is a censor stamp in the background at upper left. The poster is discolored and there is much tattering, tearing, and separation along the foldlines and edges with many masking tape repairs on the back and some on the front around the edges.
