An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" [19 x 24 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Joan Leslie (born Joan Agnes Theresa Sadie Brodel) was an actress from the 1930s to the 1990s. She started acting in 1936 at the age of 11, and she was billed under her real name of Joan Brodel, and she sang and danced, and she did not get to use those talents in enough of her movies. She had her breakthrough in 1941 in High Sierra with Humphrey Bogart, and she was Joan Leslie from then on! Some of her other movies include: Yankee Doodle Dandy, Repeat Performance, and Sergeant York. She passed away in 2015 at the age of 90. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Joan Leslie! Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" [19 x 24 cm]. About the Collection this Item Comes From Note that this item (and 37 others we are auctioning this week, each in its own auction) was consigned to us by a man who was a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1980s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items, and over the years he did not re-sell any of the autographed items. Now he has gathered up together all of his autographed items and consigned them to us. So all of these 38 autographed items we are auctioning were purchased by this dealer from longtime dealers and collectors, and we feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic! Note that each of the 38 items from this consignor all have this paragraph on them. Condition: good to very good. The still has been slightly trimmed but is otherwise in nice condition!
