An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

La Boheme, the 1926 King Vidor silent Paris France romantic melodrama ("Suggested by Henry Murger's 'Life in the Latin Quarter'"; set in 1830s Paris, about a group of poor artists and writers who meet a beautiful seamstress, and about all of their struggles to succeed, and also just to survive) starring Lillian Gish, John Gilbert, Renee Adoree, Roy D'Arcy, Karl Dane, Frank Currier, George Hassell, Edward Everett Horton, and "other stars". Note that Puccini's famous 1896 opera of this name was based on Murger's 1851 novel, and this movie only credits the novel and not Puccini or his opera, so we suspect that had something to do with MGM only buying the rights to the novel and not the opera. There were several silent versions of this prior to this movie and many sound versions after it!

Important Added Info: Note that Robert Florey was just an uncredited production assistant on this movie, but when this still was used in France, some unknown French person credited him as "directeur artistique"!

Condition: good. There is pencil writing on the back of the still that caused very slight indentations on the front of those areas, but it is mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light. There are light creases and scuffs around the edges, with some blue stains in the lower right blank border.
