An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Peaceful Valley, the 1920 Jerome Storm silent family comedy melodrama ("A comedy drama of the country body by Edward E. Kidder"; about a country boy who goes to the big city, but returns to his small town) starring Charles Ray, Harry Myers, Lincoln Stedman, Walter Perkins, and William Courtright NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. This poster was linenbacked, and it had fairly significant defects which were somewhat repaired during the linenbacking process (we describe both the defects as well as the quality of the restoration below). You should also look at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). the poster had areas of paper loss down the top of the vertical foldline, at the middle crossfold, and in the lower 1/3 of the vertical foldline; there was some paper loss across all three horizontal foldlines; there were some areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. The poster was very nicely linenbacked (almost surely by Igor Edelman), and it really displays quite nice, although you can see signs of the restoration in the top of the vertical foldline (but fortunately, that is just green background area).
