He likes his girl, Anne, too."; about two teen boys in Sydney's western suburbs in the late 1970s; this was the "wrong side of the tracks", where there was lots of unemployment and crime, and the movie is like the dark side of American Graffiti; the two teens are best friends and they have a "F J Holden", which was made by Australia's Holden car company, and was popular among teens, who would "soup them up"; the teens are aimless, and one meets a girl he likes, but he doesn't treat her well, and when he suggests a threesome with his best friend, she dumps him, and the movie ends on a very downbeat note; it has been highly praised as an extremely accurate portrayal of life in that part of Sydney in that era) starring Vicki Arkley, Robert Baxter, Paul Couzens, Eva Dickinson, Gary Waddell ("as Deadlegs"), and Frankie J.
