'The Killer Shrews'"; "They had to eat 3 times their body weight each day... Or Starve!"; about a group of people trapped on an island with a doctor whose experiment has unwittingly created giant shrews) starring Ingrid Goude, James Best, Ken Curtis, Baruch Lumet (father of director Sidney Lumet!), and Gordon McLendon. Note that the ad campaign for this strange movie used very clever art that only shows a "shrew tail" covering a woman's shoe with the tagline "all that was left after..."! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had diagonal creases in the lower right of the image, extending into the right of the tail and into the shoe. It had paper loss in the top right corner that extended into the background area, and a smaller area of paper loss in the top left that extended into the background. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
