Hammer Important Added Info: Note that the inset image at upper right, advertising the "Virgin isle Hilton" is a snipe that covers an artwork image of the Hilton Hotel in Havana Cuba, now known as "Hotel Habana Libre". The hotel was built in 1958 (briefly used as Fidel Castro's headquarters in 1959) and was operated by Hilton until 1960 when all American hotels were taken over by the Cuban government. No doubt this poster was printed sometime around 1958 and the snipe was placed there after the Cuban revolution! Condition: good to very good. There is a snipe at upper right (see above). There are some creases and a few 1/2" and smaller tears around the edges of the poster and there is some light rippling at upper right from the glue used to attach the above-mentioned snipe. The poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition and if one chose to have it restored, the snipe could surely be removed, revealing an interesting bit of history, and it would look great!
