An Original Vintage Folded Argentinean Poster (measures 30" x 44 1/4" [76 x 112 cm]) (Learn More)

Los Ninos de Europa sufren y Esperan Ayudelos (literally translates to "The Children of Europe Suffer and Hope to Help Them"), the circa 1940s Argentinean poster promoting a foreign aid campaign, and featuring art of two children by Mariette Lydis. The poster tagline translates to "Donations in cash or clothes are accepted at the national bank and all its chapters at the offices of the Pan-American Economic Institute Free Committee". Note that we imagine this poster was used in Argentinean movie theaters when they would raise money for the Red Cross (they had similar charitable appeals in U.S. theaters, where they would bring up the lights between features and circulate people in the audience with cans asking for donations!) If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Artist: Mariette Lydis
Important Added Info: Note that this Argentinean poster measures 30" x 46" and is folded.

Condition: very good.
