An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) No Other Woman (also released as "Man and Wife"), the 1933 J. Walter Ruben romantic love triangle rags-to-riches melodrama ("From the play 'Just a Woman' by Eugene Walter"; a wild story of a poor woman who runs a boarding house, and she marries a poor blue collar worker, but when they meet a man who invented a new kind of dye, they open a factory, and become very rich, but that causes the husband to travel a lot, and he falls for a "bad" woman, and then he and the new woman start divorce proceedings, and even try to get custody of the young child, but the mother manages to turn the tables in a stirring final courtroom scene) starring Irene Dunne, Charles Bickford, Gwili Andre, Eric Linden, Christian Rub, and J. Carol Naish. Note that Gwili Andre played the "other woman" in this movie, and she apparently did "too well", because the character was so unlikable that it pretty much ruined her career. 26 years later, Andre committed suicide by surrounding herself with press clippings and mementos of her career and setting them on fire, certainly a foolish way to pass away. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
