Important Added Info: Note that this classic John Wayne/John Ford western was quickly re-released in 1956. Perhaps this explains why first release 1950 movie posters, especially the one-sheet, are very rare. We have only previously auctioned this one-sheet one time, and that was 13 years ago (in our John Wayne Movie Posters at Auction, which contained almost every known John Wayne one-sheet!), when it auctioned for $1,400. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds, with small paper loss and tears in John Wayne's nose at lower right. There were a few small tears and tiny paper loss in the top right sky area. There were pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
