Un Burattino di nome Pinocchio (released in the U.S. in 1978 as "Pinocchio"), the 1972 Giuliano Cenci Italian animated animation fantasy cartoon (based on the novel by Carlo Collodi) featuring the voice of Roberta Paladini (in the title role as Pinocchio), Ferruccio Amendola, Ennio Balbo, Gianfranco Bellini, Roberto Bertea, Gianni Bonagura, and narrated by Renato Rascel. Apparently this movie version was more faithful to the original story than any other adaptation, although that meant it was more violent and more dark!
