An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Tiptoes, the 1927 Herbert Wilcox English silent romantic comedy ("British National Pictures, Ltd. present their 'Overseas Special'"; "From the American stage success by Guy Bolton and Fred Thompson") starring Dorothy Gish (in the title role as Tiptoes Kaye), Will Rogers, Nelson Keys, Jack Cardiff, and Ivy Ellison. Note that this was one of several silent movies which showed musical numbers, and the music was added through the score that played, but it is ironic to think of a "silent musical". Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
