An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Mexican Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 35 3/4" [70 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

Viaje fantastico en globo (released in the U.S. as "Fantastic Balloon Voyage"), the 1975 Rene Cardona Jr. Mexican Africa hot air balloon fantasy family adventure ("Adventure... Humor... Romance"; "From the pages of Jules Verne's epic novel... [Five Weeks in a Balloon]"; about an English professor who needs to travel to Africa to claim land there, and he does so by traveling all the way by a balloon, covering 4,000 miles!) starring Hugo Stiglitz, Jeff Cooper, Zamorita, Carmen Vicarte, and Carl East. Note that there was an American movie based on this same book by Irwin Allen in 1962, as "Five Weeks in a Balloon", but this movie is more faithful to the original novel than that film was. Also note that Carmen Vicarte was obviously injected in the movie to provide sex appeal, which she does by wearing an extremely sexy outfit, surprising for a "family" film!

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had minor fold wear. It had some tears, stains, and small paper loss in parts of the blank borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
