An Original Vintage Unfolded Political Campaign Poster (measures 22 1/2" x 35" [57 x 89 cm]) (Learn More) The S.N.C.C. (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee) is an organization associated with the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. It was founded in Delaware in 1960 and, inspired by the Greensboro and Nashville sit-ins, organized its own sit-ins at racially segregated lunch counters in the South. The S.N.C.C. was part of the Freedom Riders movement, initiated voter registration projects in Mississippi, and played a significant role in the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom! Artist: Earl Newman Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a remarkable group of around 100 guaranteed authentic mostly war posters (around 75 war posters, plus 25 others, including political ones) mostly dating from before 1900 through 1945, with 15 from after that date! These were originally acquired by an archive decades ago, and they have been in storage ever since, until they were recently consigned to us. Many of these are the sorts of posters that you can find reproductions of on the Internet, but finding guaranteed originals like these is incredibly difficult (years can go by before these are offered for sale or at auction). This is a very rare opportunity to purchase any of these more than 100 posters! Condition: good. The poster was never folded. There are some brown stains scattered down the left edge. There are some smudges scattered in the white background areas, and some creases scattered throughout the poster (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
