R20s Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More)

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the 1921 Rex Ingram silent Argentina World War I (WWI) romantic melodrama ("An epic of modern life that has thrilled 10,000,000 American readers and many more the world over"; "Metro Presents The Million Dollar Master Picturization of 'The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse'"; "By Vicente Blasco Ibanez"; "Adapted by June Mathis"; about the son of a wealthy Argentinean family, which moves to Europe prior to World War I, and he enlists in the French army, and he ultimately is killed by his cousin, who is in the German army) starring Rudolph Valentino, Pomeroy Cannon, Josef Swickard, Bridgetta Clark, Alice Terry, Nigel De Brulier, and Bowditch M. Turner. Note that this movie includes a romantic sequence where Valentino has a torrid love affair with a married woman, and there is a scene where they dance the tango together (which at the time was the "forbidden dance"), and it was this scene which made him a major romantic star!

Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).

Condition: fine. The slide and holder are in about as good condition as can be expected (there is just slight aging to the holder). See below for a scan of the slide and a separate scan of the holder.
