An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded German Movie Poster (measures 34" x 48" [86 x 122 cm]) (Learn More) Um 9 Kommt Harald (literally translates to "Harald Comes At 9"), the 1944 Carl Boese German crime thriller (about an orphan who is leaving her orphanage to start a life with her young fiancee, but on the morning of there departure the head of the orphanage is found dead and both her and her fiancee are suspected of the crime and must prove their innocence, but they later find out that the ward dies due to an accidental overdose of this heart medication!) starring Irene von Meyendorff (billed as "Irene V. Meyendorff"), Anneliese Uhlig, Roma Bahn, Hans Nielsen, Werner Fuetterer (in the title role as Harald Heimendahl), and Josef Sieber. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we were consigned this poster (which is a "country of origin" poster for this German movie!). It was printed in Germany during World War II. There are very few German movie posters from during World War II in existence (because of the massive paper shortages in Germany during World War II), and most of those few are in museums. It is likely that German posters from during the Nazi era are even more rare than those from before that era, because most of those that survived the war would have been destroyed right after the war! Condition: fair. The poster has separation, tears and tiny paper loss on parts of several folds with paper loss in the bottom right corner and a few stains scattered in the poster.
