These are the issues that contain great full-color reprints of early issues of the Mad comic book, in this case #2, #5, and #8 Mad Magazine, the classic humor magazine of the 1950s on. It was originally a comic book published by Bill Gaines, and it was one of the famous E.C. Comics that were banned in the mid-1950s, due to excessive horror content. Publisher Gaines turned it into a magazine with its 24th issue, and it became one of the great success stories of the 1950s and 1960s, with a circulation in the millions at its peak. He never allowed any advertising of any kind in the magazine! In recent years, there is a "Mad" TV show which perfectly captures the spirit of the magazine! Note that the items in this lot are from the 1970s to the 1980s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them. Measurements: 8 1/4" x 10 3/4"Condition: very good.
