An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Aloma of the South Seas, the 1926 Maurice Tourneur silent tropical island romantic love triangle melodrama ("From the play by John B. Hymer and LeRoy Clemens"; about an American who falls in love with a beautiful native dancer on a tropical island, but she has a native boyfriend, but everything works out in the end when the American finds a white woman and the native couple is reunited) starring Gilda Gray (in the title role as Aloma), Percy Marmont, Warner Baxter, Julanne Johnston, and William Powell (right before he appeared in Beau Geste). Note that this movie was loosely remade in 1941 under the same title with Dorothy Lamour in the title role. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned four stills, a herald, and a glass slide from this movie, and NO other movie paper of any kind, until we received this fifth still! Condition: good to very good.
