An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Shelley Winters (born Shirley Schrift) was an actress from the 1940s to the 1990s. She started as a sexy blonde (she was good friends with Marilyn Monroe), but she gained considerable weight, however she had memorable supporting roles in movies of the 1970s on. Some of her movies include: The Night of the Hunter, A Patch Of Blue (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Red River, Winchester '73, The Diary Of Anne Frank (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), The Place In the Sun (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), and The Poseidon Adventure (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film). She passed away in 2006 at the age of 85. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Shelley Winters! Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him).
