Date Sold 8/21/2016Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the classic 1937 David Hand Walt Disney animated animation family romantic fairy-tale fantasy musical cartoon ("His first full length feature production"; "In the Marvelous Multiplane Technicolor"; "Behold The Miracle of the Movies! Coming to amaze you, charm you, thrill you!"; "With Eight new songs as catching as 'The Big Bad Wolf.'"; "To thrill you"; "Merriment!"; "Melody!"; "Magic!"; "The dwarfs sing their marching song on the way to work."; "Walt Disney's first full length feature production"; "The show sensation of the generation!"; "Wondrously filmed in all the glories of the marvelous multiplane Technicolor"; "The Screen's Supreme Thrill! 1,000 artists worked three years to give you this once-in-a-lifetime show!... A full hour and a half of the most enthralling entertainment you ever experienced... truly the miracle in motion pictures!") featuring the voices of Adriana Caselotti (in the title role as Snow White), Harry Stockwell (as the Prince), Lucille La Verne, Moroni Olsen, and Stuart Buchanan. Note that this movie is always referred to as a "1937" movie, but it actually only had a limited opening in December 1937 (no doubt to qualify for the Oscars), and then it had its wide opening in February 1938. But because it is always referred to as being from 1937, we refer to it that way as well (and of course, it is technically correct). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Paul T. Hutchinson Important Added Info: Note that this still has a great art image of Grumpy by "Paul T. Hutchinson", and it is dated 1938. We imagine Mr. Hutchinson worked for Disney, but he does not appear to have been credited on the movie. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. We imagine they created many 11x14s with other artwork images, but they are surely incredibly rare! Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Note that this item is in eMoviePoster.com's special "all animation" auction! The idea for this auction began when we were consigned a remarkable collection of original 1940s Walt Disney pressbooks, mini lobby cards, and standees (and almost all of those are extremely rare ones that are hardly ever auctioned, and they almost all are in really nice condition). Once we knew we had those items, we contacted all our past consignors, and asked them to consign to this very special auction, and they REALLY came through, consigning a wonderful assortment of cartoon movie paper of all sorts. Buying from this special auction gives you an incredibly rare opportunity to obtain some of the finest cartoon animation movie paper we have ever seen, and all of them will have new owners when these auctions close, because all start at $1 with no reserve. Many of these items will likely not be auctioned again for many years to come! Condition: very good to fine. The still has very minor wear around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
