A motion picture for all times."; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Paul Scofield (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; "as Thomas More"), Leo McKern (as Thomas Cromwell), Robert Shaw (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; as King Henry VIII), Orson Welles (as Cardinal Wolsey), Susannah York (as Margaret More), Nigel Davenport (as The Duke of Norfolk), John Hurt (as Richard Rich), Corin Redgrave (as William Roper), Wendy Hiller (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; as Alice More), and Vanessa Redgrave.
