An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Argentinean Movie Poster (measures 14 1/2" x 28 1/2" [37 x 72 cm]) (Learn More) The Rag Man, the 1925 Edward F. Cline (billed as "Eddie Cline") silent New York City orphan junk man Irish/Jewish comedy ("Produced under the personal supervision of Jack Coogan, Sr."; "The Kid Himself"; "You'll laugh - you'll cry - you'll love it!"; "produced under the personal supervision of Jack Coogan Sr."; about an elderly Jewish junk man, played by Max Davidson, who takes in a young Irish Catholic boy as his partner in the junk business) starring Jackie Coogan, Max Davidson (as Max Ginsberg), William Conklin, Lydia Yeamans Titus, Robert Edeson, and "Dynamite the Horse". Note that Jackie Coogan's greatest success had been with Charlie Chaplin in "The Kid", and the advertising for this movie played heavily on that, billing Coogan as "The Kid Himself"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a remarkable find of 143 Argentinean posters from 1926 to 1929 that were recently discovered! They all measure approximately 14 1/4" x 28 1/4", which was one of the two main sizes created for Argentinean movie posters at that time (the other was a poster that measured 29" x 43"). It is likely that prior to this amazing find, there were only a small number of these posters known to exist in the entire world, and after these 143 are auctioned, it is unlikely that there will be many more discovered, even over the coming decades! This is a rare opportunity to purchase an Argentinean poster from the late 1920s, a time when virtually no movie posters from any country are known to exist! Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. There are a few minor patches of slight discoloration scattered in various areas (more so along the foldlines), typical of Argentinean posters of this time period. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
