Was their passion for each other."; "What one loves about life are the things that fade"; "Written and Directed by Michael Cimino"; this movie made United Artists go bankrupt!) starring Kris Kristofferson, Christopher Walken, John Hurt, Sam Waterston, Brad Dourif, Isabelle Huppert ("as Ella"), Joseph Cotten ("as the Reverend Doctor"), and Jeff Bridges (billed as "also starring Jeff Bridges") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a really cool artifact. It is from the "special screening" of this movie on November 18, 1980, in New York City (the day before it opened nationally). As detailed in the book "Final Cut: The Making and Unmaking of Heavens Gate" by Steven Bach, nervous United Artists executives attended this special screening, hoping somehow that they were wrong and that the movie would be a giant hit, but of course, they were completely right, and the movie led to the demise of United Artists! This auction is for the invitation to this screening (which has details about the screening on the interior), and it also has the special ticket to the screening, which has a number on the back, because United Artists was being very careful about how many invitations were sent! Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
