He is best known for his performance of "Casey at the Bat", and his marriage to Hedda Hopper, the gossip columnist (and he was also the father of actor William Hopper). Some of his movies include: Don Quixote (in the title role), Casey at the bat (in the title role), and Intolerance: Love's Struggle Through the Ages (as an extra). He passed away in 1935 at the age of 77. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by DeWolf Hopper! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to be authentic. Condition: good. The top half of the letter has darkened unevenly, but it does not affect the signature.
