Date Sold 10/23/2007Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 5 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (measure 11" x 14") (Learn More) Olsen's Big Moment, the 1933 Malcolm St. Clair romantic screwball comedy starring El Brendel (in the title role as Knute Olsen), Walter Catlett, Barbara Weeks, Susan Fleming (an actress who played minor roles in movies from 1931 to 1936, at which point she married Harpo Marx, and basically retired), Joe Sawyer, and John Arledge NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the lobby cards offered here are printed on a very thin paper, not at all typical for 1933 lobby cards. This was a short-lived experiment by Fox Pictures (no doubt an attempt at cost-cutting in the height of the Depression), but they soon returned to regular heavyweight lobby cards, no doubt because theater owners complained that the thinner cards were not nearly as durable. The cards offered here are 1933 originals, in spite of their thinner paper stock! Condition: very good. The card in the top right of our image has a scuff mark in the cheek and lip of the woman at right. Other than some smudges around the edges, and some minor border defects, the cards are in pretty good condition! Learn More about condition grades
